Review from NEWSARAMA.com
Silver Comics #4 The title refers to the Age that inspired the contents, of course, and this 48-page black and white book (for just $2.95!) is a superhero anthology from using such old-school inspiration for something new and exciting. This issue features the continuing origin story of Kirby-esque Doctor Monster (who looks like The Demon mixed with the Harryhausen Cyclops) and Chameleon Man (nice logo, and nice use of sketchy pencil art), a pulp-style prose story, a lighthearted ha-ha funny book adventure starring Santa, and an epic underwater battle between Sea-Bolt and an army of magnificent machines. I'm loathe to admit that I missed the first three issues of this series, which are unfortunately already sold out. Get this one while you can, and pray to the New Gods that a trade paperback collection's in the works.
