We kept the first floor in its entirety, intervening with skylights and interior patios to illuminate the entire house with natural light, on the second floor an independent apartment for parents away from the children’s bedrooms was projected, reaching a total of 260m2.
The interior spaces illuminated by patios and skylights, provide a great quality to the project, bringing natural light and vegetation to the space, as well as separating the public and private spaces of the house.
We maintained the original structure of the reinforced masonry walls and incorporated an exterior metal cladding to complement the design and aesthetics of the project, in addition to providing durability and low maintenance in the future. This is reflected in the final image of the project, which shows a light box suspended over the brick walls.
The landscaping was designed by the owner of the house, a professional who has been in the field for years; bringing warmth and colors to the outdoor terraces with the variety of species used in the design.
