The Museum of Modern Art will be a large complex with an extraordinary range of modern art on display.
But the Museum of Modern Art of the future will be different.
It will be a stratified museum with three levels of display. Visitors to the museum will have to obey specific rules of engagement, intentionally creating a new dynamic of experiencing art.

The Museum of Modern Art will be located in a complex of cultural and historic buildings of various architectural styles and periods, allowing visitors to see the entire city of Astana from the square in front of the museum.

This will be the largest museum in Central and Eastern Europe and the largest visual art space in the world, measuring 107,600 square feet.

Today, Astana has become a leader in design and one of the most attractive cities in Central Eurasia. With the ambition of opening a world class museum dedicated to modern art, the city aims to be home to one of Kazakhstan’s most valuable collections.
